Clint Says: Wait until after opening weekend, but see this in theaters

While this film may not be a front runner for any awards this year, it is definitely one worth seeing. It is a powerful and moving film that will move you to your core.

I will say that this is the kind of movie that you have to use some patience. When it starts it feels like just another post-apocalyptic dystopian action flick, then it gets into some non-linear story-telling that doesn't feel like it is going anywhere, but once it all comes together and you begin to realize what is really happening it becomes a riveting and engrossing film.

Shia LaBoeuf gives a powerful performance that would have been award-worthy in just about any other year. Unfortunately, the list of Best Actor nominees this year is long and incredible.

This is not an easy popcorn flick, so don't run into the theater thinking you are about to see a mind-numbing action flick. This movie will make you think, it will make you uncomfortable, and it will probably change the way you look at soldiers returning from war.

I highly recommend seeing MAN DOWN.
